Children’s Books That Inspire

“You may have tangible wealth untold.
Caskets of jewels and coffers of gold.
Richer than I you can never be –
I had a mother who read to me.”

~ Gillian Strickland, poet

Colorful, vibrant, heartwarming stories are the hallmark of my children’s books. Targeted to emerging readers, my books will teach your little one important life lessons, inviting them on a journey of exploration and self-discovery.

If you’ve read my blog, you know my daughter Simone was born with a serious, rare medical condition. As a result, she had to undergo many procedures, all within her first year of life. Thankfully, my daughter is alive and well. She is so vibrant; her love of life and adventure, infectious. Simone inspired me to write children’s books and to share her stories with you. With each book, your little one will join Simone in her quest for an answer.

What other parents are saying...

“The colors are engaging, the artwork is wonderfully done and most importantly, the story is very sweet. “Bailey Where are You?” is a smooth read for my first grader while keeping my 2-year old entertained and engaged. The lessons in the story are also timeless: family, community, initiative & working together.” ~ E. Rob, Atlanta, Georgia

“I loved this book [Bailey, Where Are You?”]. As a mother and a pediatrician, I’m always on the lookout for great books for children. Thanks to author Davida Grant for this creative story!” ~ T. Fuller, Baltimore, MD

“My 2 year old daughter absolutely LOVED this book when we got in the mail! So much that we read it 3 times before going to bed. [Bailey, Where Are You?”] is so cute and we were so in awe with the brightness of the illustrations. So vivid, fun and well written! We can’t wait to read more from this talented author!” ~ K. Baldwin, Atlanta, Georgia

“Symone, my 3year old, LOVES ‘Being Different is OK.’ She has memorized EVERY.SINGLE.PAGE. no joking. So instead of us reading this to her, she reads it to her. Thank you for such special books that have our daughters name in them.” ~ S. McQueen, Wash., DC
